Nevada’s Annual Surveillance Report – Blood Lead Surveillance for Children <6
This surveillance report contains a summary of state and county-level data of Nevada children tested for blood lead between October 1 to September 30 of the following year. You’ll find how many children had a blood lead level (BLL) at or above the CDC’s current blood lead reference value and how many reside in high-risk zip codes based on the Lead Exposure Risk Index. This report is meant for broad planning purposes only.
NvCLPPP staff and the NvCLPPP Advisory Committee hope this emphasizes the need for Nevada to increase testing and reporting of BLLs for children under 6 years of age.
